Taster Sessions

Come and try a taste of Community Reporting for yourself. These are short introductions at which we will give you an assignment and help you carry it out.

You can try writing a blog for the first time, or take pictures at an event and post them online. You could pick up a video camera and make a short story about people in your local community, or write a piece for your local community newspaper.

  • Are you a complete beginner? No worries, no experience is necessary – we can help you take your first step as a community reporter.
  • A seasoned hack? Great, we want people who know what they are doing to help our network grow and support others.
  • Somewhere in between? We give you a chance to improve your skills, meet other people and extend the range of contacts and story ideas.

The tasters are fun, they’re a friendly atmosphere and they are completely free.
